Ethlathini Rest Camp

From tar road to forest canopy in one turn. Ethlathini ("in the forest") sits on a hillside off the main road to Memorial Gate — shaded natural sites under mahogany, wild fig and tree aloe, 2 km from Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, Africa’s oldest game reserve. Overland sites are for fully self-contained rooftop tents, trailers and large rigs, with a firepit and free forest firewood at each site, clean water points and WiFi in some areas. Ablutions are under construction — self-sufficient travellers only at this stage. Coming next: coffee shop and indigenous nursery, standard campsites, chalets, a community food garden, skills centre, fish farm and restaurant. Book directly — no platform fees.
